Reasons Why Messages Fail To Deliver
Please, note that messages may fail to deliver or send DLR even when they’re sent out successfully.
Some of the common reasons messages fail are listed below:
Open Bind SMS will only deliver between 8 am to 8 pm as it follows NCC regulations.
Insufficient balance in account wallet.
The recipient’s line is switched off.
The recipient’s SMS inbox storage is full.
The recipient’s line is out of the coverage area.
The recipient’s line is on DND (when sending via Open Route/Bind).
The recipient’s line has been decommissioned.
Mobile network fluctuations.
Sender ID was not raised or Sender ID was flagged.
Sender ID contains numeric characters.
Sender ID was used to push international SMS.
Incorrect spelling or use of case on the sender ID.
Airtel will not deliver any SMS until the sender ID has been raised on both binds.
